Brownie Batter Peanut Butter Recipe — A homemade peanut butter that tastes JUST like brownie batter! Less than 5 ingredients, and no added sugar!
Happy Saturday my loves! I hope you are snug as bug with a hot bevy in hand and publicly indecent sweatpants. Just what the weekend ordered!
I’m poppin’ in for a special addition recipe for this month’s Recipe Redux! Here’s what our top-secret assignment was
Favorite Chocolate Matches
Does your chocolate need a friend? This month’s posting will be after Valentine’s Day, so you may have a bit of extra chocolate around. What’s your favorite chocolate match? Be it traditional peanut butter or something more exotic like cayenne + chocolate. Show us your favorite healthy chocolate combo recipe.
Well gee, what combo would I ever think to go with chocolate? I’ll give you one guess. Hint, it’s not carrots.
As if my V-Day treats didn’t give you any idea, this month’s combo was a no brainer.
The mac to my cheese. Bread to my butter. Cher to my Sonny. Be to my yonce.
Chocolate in my peanut butter. Peanut butter in my chocolate. Gimme it in any way, shape, or form.
After spotting Megan’s almond butter, I knew I had to put my own SN spin on it.
And boy, am I happy I did. Just give me a spoon. It’s seriously like having all of your brownie batter dreams come true, but heeeyy there’s no sugars, oils, flours, or risk of salmonella. Minor details.
- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tsp stevia
- 1/2 tsp espresso powder
- 3–4 tbsp warm water
- Combine all ingredients except water in a small bowl.
- Add water a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency.
- Serve with graham crackers, apple slices, bananas, etc.
- Store in refrigerator up to 1 week.
- Category: Spreads
This is a bit on the thick side, since I think it makes it all the more brownie-ish, and easier to shovel in my pie hole. If you want it on the runnier side, you could always add more water.
And the espresso powder is a must. Ina would strike me dead if I didn’t put in her secret ingredient to bring out the true essence of choc-o-late.
Now grab a spoon, some friends, and some Sex in the City, cuz we got some brownie batter to eat!
