Are you ready to ride the WIAW express?!
Hold on to your boot straps sweetie, cuz it’s gunna be a bumpy ride!
…okay maybe not, but I had to finish out my cowboy persona.
No this day of eats will show you the dire need of groceries I am encountering, and refusing to go until at least Friday. I generally stock up for two weeks because it’s just little ol’ me, and I tend to spend less when I go all in one trip. That means less time for impulse buys of five boxes of teas, or twelve pounds of discounted bananas.
So here’s to being stubborn and scrounging for what resemble meals!
1 cup unsweetened almond milk + 1 T PB2 + 1/2 cup frozen raspberries + 1/2 banana + 1 T Flax + 1 T Chia Seeds + handful frozen spinach
Literally the fastest soup possible. AKA I dumped some of my french lentil salad into some broth and called it lunch. Working hard peeps.
And I FINALLY finished Pride & Prejudice. It only took me half a year. And that was taking the shortcut and listening to the last few chapters on audiobook. And I wasn’t impressed. Actually, I was kind of mad at the end. Like I took two whole months to read about how you thought Mr. Darcy was rather disagreeable but jk I’m kinda mad crushin’? At least I can watch the movie now…
So I totally failed on snackular pics, but I did enjoy some roasted cashews, cucumber slices, and some of my pizza hummus, which is practically demolished already.
Instead, I found my saving grace for the last couple weeks of coffee sobriety. It’s called a teeccino! It’s actually herbal tea (no caffeine) that kinda resembles coffee. French vanilla flavored + almond milk tricked me enough!
I can’t decide if this looks semi-good or completely disgusting. Either way, I mixed a can of tuna with some of my hummus then plopped it on some collard leaves, and topped with salsa. It was food, that was about it.
And of course an Emily-style dessert 😉
Another carrot later, and I find that I can not really tolerate them as much (gasp!) It mayyy be the 5 lbs I eat in under a week, but either way my stomach hates me. I tried some of this tea to calm my bloat bae.
After returning P & P, I picked up a copy of Diane’s book finally!
While I don’t exactly follow Paleo, I do believe in focusing on real foods in the diet. That and I love listening to the Balanced Bites podcasts, so felt only right to fill in on all the info they talk about from the book.
And maybe I can find out how to treat this bloat babe. I’m sad to say that raw carrots will probably be getting the ax. 🙁
Make it a great day!
