Two days in a row y’all?! It’s all cuz I love you. Each and every one of you.
..four people who follow me. Thanks for hanging in there with me.
Enough with the small talk, let’s get crackin’!
You guys, I have been drinking smoothies like cray-cray lately. I guess I am making up for lost times of hating them for the most part…Or it could be the fact that I am on an elimination diet to try to get to the bottom of my bloat babies. My guess? Eggs. But just to be sure I am terribly limited, away went dairy, corn, soy, wheat, sugar, and OMG peanuts!
Luckily I like the taste of sun butter, but it is in any way, shape, or form ANYTHING like my beloved pb. This will be the longest 3 week hiatus of our serious relationship. It’s make or break at this point.
1 cup green tea // 1/2 avocado // 2 scoops Jarrow Plant Protein Powder // 1 tbsp chia seeds // 1 tbsp flax seeds // 1 cup frozen spinach // 1/2 kiwi
I actually make a double batch of smoothies most days during the week, which makes for an easy one prep and done kinda meal x 2 for this elimination shin-dig. I never thought I would hear myself say these make me super full, and am getting used to the whole smoothie deal. But if it helps me heal and feel better, I’m game.
A little snack attack of some black bean and chicken chili I made this weekend. While it’s not as easy as my veggie stock, it’s pretty darn close. I’ll be sure to update you with a recipe soon!
Okay, so #bloggerfail on a dinner pic, but luckily I had this bad boy in my arsenal that I wanted to share with you. After moving MJ into her apartment, my brother, his gf, and I made our way to the Pressed Cafe for some refuel-age.
I opted for the Pollo Loco, sans bacon & cheese and on a gluten-free wrap. It was full of cilantro-lime chicken, black bean spread, avocado spread, and grilled veggies. Oh yeah and a dash of AWESOME.
And a nightcap of this delicious tea from the #HLBTea swap. Seriously tasted like sipping on a slice of apple pie…if that were physically possible. Thanks for sharing, Aundra!
To go along with my all-time favorite book. I love everything by Mitch Albom, but this one always sticks with me..and makes me ugly cry every time I read it. So many good outlooks on life. If you haven’t read it, stop whatever you’re doing and do it now. I swear it will take you like 30 minutes to finish, and you will thank you eternally.
Thanks again to miss Jenn & friends for hosting!
Make it a great day!
