WIAW: Turkey Potato Chips

November 18, 2015 by Emily Cooper 8 Comments

Morning friends!

I am finally on the mend thanks to lots of tea and cheesy Christmas movies. I refuse to let the flu get to me!

Now if we’re talking foodies…

WHAT-I-ATE-WEDNESDAY-NEW-BUTTON-PEAS-AND-CRAYONS

I got WIAW, so put it on me!

Okay yeah, let’s just eat.

Breakfast

Never mind the fact that it was 30 degrees outside, but I decided an ice cold smoothie was in order first thing in the morning.

IMG_2533

1.5 scoops chocolate protein powder // 1/2 banana // chia seeds //flax seeds // 1 tablespoon peanut butter topped with hemp seeds

Lunch

After a busy morning of classes, I was more than ready to shove my face full of lunch.

Wraps have smuggled their way into my usual salad routine, this time with some salmon, guac & spinach. Served alongside a Fuji and a couple Brazil nuts for my daily dose of selenium!

Dinner

I know I must not be feeling like myself when I don’t have my afternoon snack. I don’t even recognize myself anymore!

Until I got to dinner that is.

There’s that salad! The typical chicken & guac on lettuce because I’m boring and predictable.

Followed by a disappointingly rotten-core apple. P.S You have a crooked butt crack.

Snack

And then this happened…

Okay, that’s a lie. It happened this weekend at MJ’s, but still, Turkey & Gravy effen tater chips. They weren’t bad, but actually could have used a little more poultry essence. I may or may not have thought about dipping them in gravy. I can only imagine how’d they taste on a Thanksgiving leftover sammich!

Thanks for hosting Jenn!

Make it a great day!

What’s the weirdest potato chip flavor you’ve had?

Any new lunch ideas?

Turkey chips?! This reminds me of the chicken and waffle Lay’s. I haven’t tried them… but I’m tempted int he name of strange but good. I did try maple bacon chips and they were just ok.

I did try the chicken & waffle ones too! I’ll try anything that falls in those strange but good categories!

Begone flu! I hope you feel better ASAP! I am about to have a wrap for lunch as well, so it’s nice to know great minds think alike. 😉

I saw those chips at Shaw’s the other day and almost went for them! I think they have a dessert/ sweet holiday chip too, I can’t remember what it was… pumpkin or apple pie, maybe? Also, LOVE Brazil nuts. I eat 3-6 / day for the selenium to help with my hypothyroidism. They’re filling and probably the only nut I don’t go overboard with 😉 haha

OMG Now I must find these dessert chips! It’s funny how much I look forward to my 2 Brazil nuts now that I started eating them.

I thought you were going to show a pic of the trader joe’s stuffing flavored chips! Which I haven’t been able to find yet…so I might have to search these out instead. I love chips/salty/crunchy, so these are right up my alley!
