WIAW: On the Move

February 24, 2016 by Emily Cooper 8 Comments

Wednesday, you sneaky devil you!

This week is zip zooming by for me. How about you?

I spent the greater part of yesterday afternoon movin’ on up to a de-luxe condo in the sky thanks to the help of Papa John.

While I loved my apartment, and FINALLY got settled into it, this was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up, so I bit the bullet and went for it. Thankfully the whole moving process is so painful, because I’d probably never settle somewhere if it wasn’t.

All that moving worked me up an appetite so let’s get with Jenn and start eating!

Now that I replace my pea protein with chocolate whey, smoothies have become much more enjoyable.

1 scoop chocolate whey protein (I used BeFit) // 1 cup frozen strawberries // 1 scoop Nutrigreens // 1/2 avocado

Especially when topped with bits of a chocolately protein cookie. It’s all worth it for the seven layers I have to wear after I finish it. So worth it.

I got a little snacky mid-morning, so I chomped my way through emails with the help of carrots and hummus. They’re such a cute couple.

I got out of work at noon to start the packing process before Papa John got there, which I was looking forward to as much as filing my taxes. The excitement…I can’t even.

But first comes food, so I whipped up a quick salad with this new to me salmon that MJ gifted me. A mother’s love is only as strong as the packaged fish she gives you.

Not having to deal with fish juice (gross) for once was a nice change, and I actually really loved the flavor. I threw it on some lettuce with diced tomatoes, parm cheese, some Caesar dressing, and a pickle on the side because that’s completely necessary.

I’m obsessed with these pickles I mentioned on Instagram since they are the first ones I’ve found that don’t have any funky colors or preservatives in them, and cost the same as regular pickles! It’s the little things my friends…

Alongside half a sweet potato with peanut butter. I’m pretty sure I’m to the once your palms turn orange, you never go back stage of my orange veggie obsession.

After a smooth but tiring move for the next 3 hours, I was more than ready to go to town on some pizza.

I took Papa John for his first Otto’s experience and some slices. I got a Downeast Cranberry Cider, a slice of Margherita and a slice of Chicken Bacon Ranch. To my surprise, I could only finish the Margh (and the cider of course), so it appears my two slicer days are over…at least for today. I will happily enjoy an Otto’s dinner again tonight, so it’s actually a win in my books.

Make it a great day!

When’s the last time you moved?

Fresh from the oven or day after cold pizza? I’ve been known to party with both crowds on multiple occasions.

I didn’t know salmon came in packets like that! I don’t eat fish but my husband is mostly pescatarian so he would love those! I’ll have to keep an eye out 🙂

I feel like a slice and a half would be the perfect amount. That should be an option.
I hope all the moving stuff goes well!

Wow, what a wonderful adventure! Did you bake your sweet potato or microwave it? How long did it take?

I microwaved it! It took about 4-5 minutes to cook, which is much more suited to my impatient hunger 🙂

Only hot pizza! I just can not handle with the cold cheese crust. And I like a lot of cheese on my pizza 🙂
