Salutations good friends!
It’s about that time when we set apart our differences, quarrels, and instagram scrolls to appreciate the things in life that really matter.
FOOD. Whatcha expect from me..sugar, spice, and world peace? Only if that’s in the form of some kind of baked good or peanut butter delicacy, but in the meantime let’s just eat.
I broke my fast with a plate chock full of fat.
The good kind. Like 1/2 an avocado, 1 egg, 2 egg whites, stuffed with hummus kinda good. Along with a cup of extra strong and black coffee, and I was ready to conquer the world. Or at least enough to read some preschoolers my life story.
Started from a seedlin’ now we here.
After touching the hearts of young children with my inspirational biography, I worked up quite the appetite.
Well lookie here, more avocado! When they’re on sale for 89 cents a pop, I can’t help but devour them before they turn to swap brown mush. I guess there was some salad, tuna, and a kiwi in there too, but that’s no fun.
So maybe this technically fell into the lunch category since it was eaten a good 10 minutes after my salad, but I’m not one for conformity.
But pumpkin spice Siggi’s and maple pumpkin seeds just belong together. Sadly, their relationship lasted shorter than a Hollywood marriage, but I’m gunna take a guess they’ll be back together soon.
After teaching a later after school class, I was more than ready to inhale whatever was put in front of me once I walked through the door.
Lucky for me, it was spaghetti squash with a tofu “meat” sauce instead of like…a chair or something. Eaten in tupperware because there was no way a plate was going to make this look any less awful, and that would take too away from shoveling into my pie hole ASAP.
Thanks to Jenn & friends for being our gracious hosts!
