It’s hump day. It’s 6 AM. Make coffee. LET’S DO THIS.
This is what Wednesdays are made for anyway.
Humid mornings don’t exactly leave me craving warm foods, or (gasp!) food in general. Team smoothie to the rescue!
A scoop of Amazing Grass, a frozen banana, and almond milk, and all the ice I could fit in my smoothie blender. Isn’t this mason jar with straw and coozy the cutest?!
Since I usually have a class during the lunch hour, I make sure to sneak in a snack mid-morning to keep my from going hangry on some innocent kids, and eat their lunches.
This time, it was some raspberry Siggi’s topped with SunButter and cereal. I think this has finally solidified itself as my favorite Siggi’s flavor…at the moment.
Luckily, some frozen fruit ice cream kept me from going cray on some 8 year olds, until I could sufficiently stuff my face in the comfort of my own home.
Back on that taco salad train, this time with a chopped up turkey burger, salsa, guac, mustard….and a hugh jass pickle. Because…NECESSARY.
But a craving for all things Mexicali with a tag team effort from the roomie won over. This girl wanted fajitas.
Which led to a mission to find flaming hot slices of meat in tortillas, and cheese smothered chips all around Portland, including but not limited to sketchy hole in the wall, overly expensive, and straight up nonexistent restaurants, only to end up at my usual spot Shay’s.
Where I traded in my yoga mat and fajitas for half a cuban, half a steak and cheese, the best fries in the whole damn city, and a Daquiri martini. Best decision ever.
Namaste, my friends.
Make it a great day!
Have you ever eaten a whole kiwi, skin and all?
What was the last food you had a craving for?
PS: Happy Birthday Papa John! 🙂 Another year younger!
