Let’s do it! Let’s fall in loooooooooovvvveee!!!
You’ll have to excuse me, I’ve had old blue eyes on repeat as of lately and all up in my pandora…
…well that sounded awkward, but moving on.. Those crooners and swooners starting singin’ at the right time for me. Let’s Fall in love! 😉
And that’s what I intend to do. I’ve fallen off the deep end for everything Autumn-esque, pumpkin-pumped and apple-dappled. So let’s kick off this What I Ate Wednesday and fall in love with Fall!
Omelets. Eggs. Eggs. Omelets. Most of my days start off with eggs in one form or another, including making some 2-ingredient pancakes for my Sunday morning long runs.
Unfortunately, nothing satisfies my hunger quite as much as omelets do. I was still able to knock out 5 miles which has been the longest mileage in quite sometime.
Despite holding a 8:51 pace for my last 5k, runs have been painful and slow. I’m still trying to get to the bottom of what my deal is like an episode of Mystery Diagnosis. I’m going to mess around with my carb intake since for the most part it is on the lower end than what I have had in the past. I also think I’m going to suck it up and invest in a new pair of sneaks after some sore arches on the reg.
Did I just say “on the reg”?! Make like this ball and roll with it. 😉
A pop in the freezer and this dollar store bouncy ball is heaven to my feet.
Lunches have still been consisting of salads, but as the weather get’s cooler, cold lettuce sounds less and less appetizing. Instead I think I will be transitioning into soup territory which I started this week with a batch of this acorn squash soup.
And after multiple IG posts, I was on a mission to get my ticket for the Fall flavored yogurt train.
Oh Target, you never disappoint. I fell in love with both, but each one was a little too sweet for my tastes, so a spoonful was enough to satisfy me. More times to enjoy it, I say!
I did see this bad boy on my Pumpkin quest though. Call it intuition, but something told me that this wouldn’t be such a good idea to be eating. Along with those neon green cheese balls..
And what better way to fall in love with Fall than with APPLE PICKING!
MJ and I went to the Elwood orchards to get our picking on where we made a few friends in the process.
And a family of pumpkins only a Mother could love.
I know who’s getting some Proactive in their Trick or Treat bag this year!
Can you believe I used to eat 3-4 apples A DAY at one point?! My eating habits have definitely changed this past few months, and now I barely eat a whole lot of fruit in general. But an apple picking trip just isn’t complete without ending it with somma this.
APPLE CRISP! YESH! The perfectly balanced dinner ONLY if topped with melty vanilla ice cream and a cheesy horror film and eaten with MJ.
And now all I need is some candy corn, pumpkin delights, and a boat load of roasted root veggies and I’ll be on my way to falling truly, madly, deeply into
a Savage Garden reference FALL!
Thanks again to Jenn for hosting this WIAW!
Make it a great day!
