Oh heyy mid-week (waves hi)
This week is dragging harder than RuPaul on a cat walk for me.
I blame my restless nights of sleep, but waiting for Friday (and that special someone) 😉 to come around sure ain’t speeding things up at all.
But on the bright side, at least we have WIAW to get us through the day!
Apparently wearing your pajamas inside doesn’t actually work for snow days. Luckily all the classes I was teaching for the day were at a school within walking distance from me, so I could trudge through the wind and snow and not have to drive. I may have lived in New England for 99% of my life, but I still HATE driving in snow. There I said it.
At least me and my breakfast were on fleek with our outfit choices for the day.
I made some of Julie’s egg white oats, and added some turmeric, pb, and blueberries to compliment my bean boots.
…but mostly because it sounded good, and was.
A later breakfast meant I was able to survive until lunchtime without a mid-morn snack. It’s the little things that excite me.
My usual tuna Tuesday got nexted by the salmon salad I made earlier, along with some smoked salmon leftover from recipe testing, and what I could salvage from an avocado on it’s death bed.
And all the berries, because homegirl needs some bit of summer to get me through these snowy ass days. I love New England, I love New England, I love New England…
After the last of my classes teaching kindergarteners about peppers (spoiler, they weren’t impressed), operation snack-mode kicked in.
I seriously don’t know how in the heck they get these chickpeas so darn crunchy, but they are SO good. Salty + sweet combo is the best because you cure any and all cravings at once.
After some blog werk, kale salad making, and green tea drinking, I haphazardly eat the leftovers from my Sunday pizza creation as seen on instagram straight outta
Compton the fridge. Like. A. BOSS.
Salt lamp + yoga with Adriene + chamomile tea. Night complete.
Make it a great day!
Snow: Love it or hate it?
Sweet or salty?
