Hola my hump day homies!
This lovely day of eats was originally scheduled to go out last Wednesday, but thanks to some blah in the blog..it didn’t happen.
A week late and a carrot short, it’s here for the world premiere!
This was one of those mornings where I’ll close my eyes for 5 more minutes turns into how did I sleep for another 20 minutes?! and a mad rush to throw clothes at my body, slap on mascara, and give my teeth a once around before I’m out the door.
1 scoop of chocolate protein powder // 1 banana // 2 tablespoons peanut butter
While it may not be as dreamy as my strawberry spinach smoothie, it sure was a heck of a lot faster to make. Plus, this power trio of flavors can do no wrong in my eyes.
Once I could take a breather and five gulps (aka cups) of coffee in me, the day felt less like a blur and more like the slow and steady stream of business I’m used to. Just enough to hold me over to the next highlight of my day.
A taco salad-ish lunch with chicken, hummus, black beans, and salsa. I think I am FINALLY over my taco salad obsession stage, or maybe it’s just because my jumbo jar of salsa is now gone. A side of sweet & bubbly thanks to Granny and Seltz..which sounds more like a law firm than part of a meal.
Unfortunately (or fortunately?) my admiration of peanut butter covered fruits for afternoon snacks is still in its honeymoon phase.
Just when I think I’m out of love, peanut butter just comes in and fills all the cracks in my fruit loving heart.
Which is why I downed another Granny before hitting the gym, and avoiding a complete hangry meltdown on a moving belt of a treadmill. Is it just me, or does anyone else smell disaster?
But that could only contain the hanger beast inside for so long. While it may not be of the taco variety, my salad game is forever going strong.
Let us not forget an Emily-esque dessert, and/or daily tanning regimen.
I got standards to live up to after all.
