It’s the Wednesday before Halloween, and everybody knows what that means…
WHAT I ATE WEDNESDAY!
Okay, so that’s every Wednesday. I’ll eat a piece of candy corn for you and make it special.
The day started off with a chocolatey green smoothie, with a scoop of MyProtein Chocolate Stevia Whey, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 a banana, 1 tablespoon of chia seeds, a cup of water, and topped with hemp hearts and an oversized hoodie.
It’s really beginning to be a struggle to take a decent meal picture except if I ate all three meals at 11 AM. And so the mock of winter begins..
After tasting some star fruit and mango with preschoolers, the afternoon hunger bells tolled.
A salad topped with baked and chopped chicken breast, mushrooms, the best homemade bread & butter pickles, Dijon, and 1/2 an avocado that had seen far better days.
And after a mild breakdown of thinking I yet again lost my phone, driving all the way back to the school I had my class at, resetting passwords, only to discover it wedged deep within the depths of my front seat. There is a reason I don’t like to have nice things, and that God must definitely be on my side. Or reminding me to get my shit together pronto. Sometimes it’s hard being a functional human being.
I came home ravenous, and thus came the tale of two chickens.
A.K.A just about the same meal twice in a row. Which wouldn’t be the first time, much like that time I ate two salads. I got jazzy, and topped this one with beets and pumpkin seeds since my sad and geriatric avocados made their final appearances in earlier meals.
After downing my dinner, and a few spoonfuls of pumpkin dirt pie at the kitchen counter, I settled in for a nightcap of McIntosh and Breaking Bad. A cure for any lost phone-induced panic attack.
