I’m finally back in the swing of things after a week full of work and blog conferences, which means a sink full of dishes, a bedroom floor full of laundry, and half a peanut butter jar gone. It’s good to be home.
As you may know, I spent the weekend with a group of like-minded, food pic snapping, coffee loving blogging RDs, otherwise known as Blog Brulee. Never have I felt so close to a group of gals I’ve never actually met before.
Not only was it full of good laughs, and awesome insights, but obviously so delicious eats.
Come on now, we are food bloggers. It’s what we live for.
So I thought it would be a fun WIAW to share a peek at some of the eats I indulged in this weekend. It may or may not be for my selfish indulgence and longing to be back there right this second. Thanks for hosting Jenn! Shall we?
Since I was leaving a work conference up in the Northwest part of Maine, the GPS thought it would be a great idea to take me VT the quickest way possible.
Which just happened to be through Canada. Not having my passport handy, I thought it best to forgo jumping the border, putting me an hour behind schedule. Grrr.
All of my frustrations, dehydration, and fatigue withered away in seconds when I was welcomed with this.
Booze and food. The lovely Miss Robin graciously brought over plates of food to go along with my double fisted woodchucks and what else but Creme Brulee for dessert as I listened along to Deanna and Regan about how to take better food photos with smartphones. These are my people.
After a solid as a rock night of sleep, I was more than ready for breakfast and to get knee deep into blogging sessions for the day.
As one of our sponsors, Siggi’s put on a gorgeous spread of yogurts, toppings, and the most addicting and popable Date Nut Balls for all of us. Give this girl any kind of build-your-own bar and I’ll love you forever.
I filled my bowl with some plain Siggi’s, blueberries, almonds, fresh figs, and hemp seeds, along with a date ball and probably a good gallon or so of coffee. Never give me and endless supply of coffee and expect me not to overdue it.
As if eating awesome yogurt wasn’t enough, we got to make our own with the man. the myth. THE Siggi.

I couldn’t help but dig in a few bites of the Pumpkin Spice flavor. Love at first basic white girl bite.
Since we had such glorious weather, we got to enough our lunch basking in the Vermont sun.
Scallop and shrimp skewers, grilled asparagus, carrot & jicama slaw, and not to mention the most unbelievable and unpictured biscuit with maple butter. I could slather a marathon runner’s shoe in that Maple butter and still think it’s heaven.
And let’s not forget the S’MORES!
A tasty Blog Brulee tradition, that I welcomed with smoke filled eyes and marshmallow covered arms.
I tried my best to double fist the two despite the lunch coma. I’d say I came pretty close.
After exploring Smuggler’s Notch a bit with some of the gals, and working off my carb coma and campfire perfume, it was time again for another top (smuggler’s) notch meal to add to the books.
This time, it was firecracker salmon crusted in sesame seeds with Basmati rice, and grilled veggies.
And one waitress that had a personal vendetta to get each and every one of us white girl wasted. I think she tried to fill my wine glass a good five times in the course of an hour.
Sunday’s meals were rather quick and on the go, eating breakfast in our suites and boxed sandwiches before we departed for lunch, but I don’t think there was one morsel left unloved the whole weekend.

Stay tuned for a full recap of more than just the eats this Friday!
Make it a great day!
