A Little Somethin’ Sunday #91

September 10, 2017 by Emily Cooper Leave a Comment

Happy Sunday!

First off, my heart goes out to both friends and all those affected by Irma. This world is a crazy place, even when it’s out of our control.

For those of us safe and sound, let us take a moment to be grateful, drink our coffee slow, and get our read on.

Music of the Moment:

“Sunset Lover” – Petit Biscuit

This song is the meaning of chill, low-key. A background music that you find yourself thinking about all day.

Life Lately:

Blogger Eggplant Dinner

I had been wanting to make this dish from Rachael’s blog since I saw it. Now that I have 5 pounds of eggplant leftover from my lasagna recipe, it was the perfect time to make it for Mr. BAE-friend on a Friday night. Spoiler alert: He LOVED it. It might have also been because this one plate of food weighed approximately 20 pounds.

Bean Boots Apple Picking

Yesterday was THE most gorgeous day of the year, which called for getting library cards (HOLLA!), an obligatory trip to the farmers’ market, and APPLE PICKING! I’m so blessed to have a boyfriend who finds this to be as perfect of a Saturday as I do.

This New England girl proudly wore her bean boots and Red Sox hat for all of Jersey to see. New Hampshire will always have my <3.

Food:

Dirty Chai Flourless Brownies – Cotter Crunch

Talk diirtty to me…as in dirty chai. And save me the corner brownie while you’re at it, cuz I’m still drooling over here at the moment.

September Sangria – How Sweet It Is

You know how they have a wine of the month club? I need to be a part of a sangria of the month club. This one looks like a good place to start.

Savory Carrot, Leek, and Goat Cheese Hand Pies – Joanne Eats Well with Others

If these don’t sound like a handheld version of fall comfort food to you, then you bettah check yo’self. I want to be tucked into a blanket of these all Autumn long.

How to Say No and Set Boundaries – Nutrition Stripped

It’s all too easy to fall into a pattern of taking on too much in the name of bettering yourself. In reality, it can take a major toll on your health. Learning how to say no to the right things, at the right time ends up paying off more.
