A Little Somethin’ Sunday #85

July 2, 2017 by Emily Cooper 2 Comments

Happy Sunday!

I hope you have some wonder-FULL things planned for the holiday weekend! I’m knee dip in my first road trip and vacation with the BAE-friend. I’ll be taking a break from the regular scheduled blog, but I’m sure to be documenting along the trip over on Instagram!

A little something Sunday

Daily Quote:

Quote Trust Your Journey

from Pinterest

Trust your journey. It knows where it’s going. It knows what it’s doing. It’s your job to trust it’s instincts to take you where you’re supposed to be at the right time.

Music of the Moment:

“Only Songs” – The Wild Reeds

I love how classic their sound is. I’m such a sucker for any headstrong girl rock band.

Life Lately:

Hair Selfie

After a couple months of darker hair, I decided I miss being blonde. I settled for a getting some highlights to see if that would do, and I’m so happy I did!

Hillary and I

Getting to see all my best gal pals from college for our friend Becky’s engagement party. Always love seeing my better half, Hillary..even if she won’t let me steal her sunglasses. 🙂

Cherry Picking Haul

While strawberry picking back in NH may have been a bust, luckily there was a PYO cherry field right across the street. The BAE-friend is such a good sport when it comes to hand modeling for instagram.

Food:

5-Minute Dill Pickle Chex Mix – Averie Cooks

Is the five minutes for how long it takes to make it, or how long it takes me to eat it? I’m guessing both would be correct.

Cheeseburger Salad Bowls – Food Faith Fitness

Oh how my summer heart swoons. Two of my favorites this time of year in one meal. Life = complete.

Vegan Elote Corn Dip – Fooduzzi

I can almost taste how amazing dipping a pile of salty tortilla chips into a bowl of this would be. Using hummus as a dip base is one of my favorite tricks too, because it almost always comes out amazing. Exhibit A. ^ ^ ^

Health:

A Thank You Letter to Oat Flour – Yeah…ImmaEatThat

Such a great way to look at lateral changes and mind-shifts when it comes to disordered eating.

How I Became the Eater I Want to Be – Hummusapien

Are you making food choices because you WANT to, or because you feel like you HAVE to? If you ever have these internal debates, this a read for you.

Blogging:

3 Big Truths About Blogging – Fit Mitten Kitchen

Seeing what this girl has accomplished in just 2 years is amazing. Hearing that she has shared the same struggles is comfort in blogging numbers.

Some less obvious reasons you may not be seeing the results you want on your site, which is half the battle! Danielle fills in the gaps on what to do next.

5-Minute Dill Pickle Chex Mix. This is a great spin on chex mix! I get cravings for dill pickles in the summer so the flavor sounds deliciously addictive. My sister is really a pickle lover. She used to stick a spoon in the leftover juice when she was a teenager so I know she would go nuts over this!
