A Little Somethin’ Sunday #112

March 25, 2018 by Emily Cooper 1 Comment

Happy Sunday!

Gol-ly it’s been awhile since I made an appearance around these Sunday parts. Between starting a new job, taking on more projects than I probably should (yet again), and TRYING to have a tiny bit of social life, Sundays took the bullet.

But I’m here and I couldn’t be more than ready to share a cuppa and this week’s read with you this morning!

A little something Sunday

Doing what’s best for you allows you to do the best for the ones you care about most. Don’t we all deserve that?

Music of the Moment:

“You Never Knew” – HAIM

I first heard of these gals when they opened up for T-Swift a few years ago. Now I’m hoping to see them in May since I am in LOVE with their new (and old) albums.

Life Lately:

Pug Canvas Shoes GrooveBags

These sneaks came up on my insta, and the rest was history…actually I didn’t pull the trigger, but as soon as I can justify a $50 purchase on pug-covered canvas shoes, this are MINE.

Portland Maine Croissant

Me and Mr. Rob finally made it back to Portland. Even if we spent more time in the car than actually in the city, it was worth it. A chocolate croissant from the new bakery in town was a must. I’ll be back for you, Portland.

Funny Sloth Stuffed Animal

…and what did I find when I came home? This sloth (aka Ralph) enjoying his alone time a little too much. I’m glad it was only a weekend.

I am all about those savory oats, but this one from Emilie takes the (oat) cake. I think I found the reason I’ll actually try tempeh bacon now…

Easy Vegan Spring Roll Bowls with Crispy Tofu – Fooduzzi

Can you tell I like meals in bowls? I’m also a sucker for super crispy tofu, so this one was an easy win.

Lucky Charms Cereal Milk Confetti Cupcakes – How Sweet Eats

St. Patty’s Day may be dead and gone, but guys, are cupcakes made with Lucky Charms really ever a bad idea? Nah.

Good Reads:

Don’t Hate the Dieter, Hate the Diet Culture – In It 4 the Long Run

I’m a victim of this culture too, as many, many, MANY women are. Let’s start at the root of the problem to make some real progress on the issue at hand.

Top Tips for Reducing Food Waste at Home – Lively Table

Aside from bees, and helping ladies recover from hypothalamic amenorrhea, reducing food waste is a passion of mine. I’m all for getting more peeps empowered to make healthy AND sustainable choices, easy choices.

How to Start an Intention Setting Practice – The Healthy Maven

I’ve always struggled with the concept of intention setting, especially sitting in a yoga class with nothing but a big question mark in my head. Luckily I have Davida to come to the rescue and clarify.
