..and just like that, we’re back to winter weather again. C’est la vie. I guess it’s only natural to NOT be wearing shorts (and sweating) in January.
At least I have warm cups of tea and endless pots of soups (like this one, that’s one of my favs) to keep me goin’. And of course, A Little Somethin’ (somethin’) Sunday!

This quote came up in a book I’m reading, and I LOVED it. If we remember to take each day, inch by inch, we’ll still get to the same place if we did it by the yard. The only difference is, an inch is easy, a yard is hard. Which would you rather take?
Music of the Moment:
Stop what you’re doing. Put the coffee down. AND DANCE. Don’t ask, just do.
For the new year, I’ve been trying to eat more seafood and less meat, especially those SMASH fish I’m always going on about. This was my first….and last attempt at smoked herring. It was just..NOPE. I’ll stick to salmon and this recipe for getting down sardines.
Me and BAE-friend have slowly but surely been making our way around the Princeton food scene. We tried one of the newest kids on the block, Local Greek which was AWESOME. Maybe it’s the fact that there was endless bread, and everything was served in a skillet, but I will be making a return here.
This past week, I also did my second ever, and first actual cooking Facebook Live to show y’all just how easy this 5 Minute Vegetarian Chili is. Skin Issues [it’s not always about the food] – The Real Life RD
I think it’s all too easy sometimes to point the blame at food, gluten, dairy, carbs, the latest ingredient on the chopping block, but a lot of times there is sooo much more to the story. While there are definitely cases where food is the issue, it’s not the only option. Give others the chance to be the bad guy too.
