A Little Somethin’ Sunday #106

January 21, 2018 by Emily Cooper 2 Comments

Happy Sunday!

I hope yours is off to a great start. Who’s watching the football games? I’m watching in the spirit of seeing my dad’s favorite team to to the Super Bowl. Go Vikings!

In the meantime, here’s what this week had in store for me, myself, and the interweb.

Music of the Moment:

“Death By Chocolate” – Sia

Still one of my all-time favorite Sia songs. Back when she still showed her face. Such a powerhouse of a tune!

Life Lately:Soul Roomie NYC

Last weekend, I got to spend some much needed quality time with my long last Southern roomie in NYC. Many laughs and mimosas were had, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

New Glasses

Since I spend the majority of my time each day on the computer, I got a pair of these blue-light blocking glasses to help with eye strain and fatigue…and to fill my desire to wear glasses without actually needing them. I can definitely notice a difference so far, and think I’ve even convinced the boyf to get a pair. #Twinning.

Tea Spilled

If you saw my Instagram stories on Friday, you would know I had a bad run-in with hot beverages for the day. Starting with exploding chamomile tea bags, then dumping coffee grounds in the SAME EXACT PLACE. Maybe I should stick to iced beverages for a while…..NAH!

Burnt Carrots with Honey, Black Pepper, Butter, and Almonds – Alexandria’s Kitchen

I know, the idea of purposely burning your food sounds cruel. Think of how envious your newbie cook self is that burning food is cool now. These carrots give a whole new meaning to delicious.

Chickpea and Kale Glow Bowl with Dreamy Tahini Dressing – Averie Cooks

Never have I ever been more excited for leafy greens and legumes. This is definitely going on the lunch list this week!

Dark Chocolate Puppy Chow – JoyFoodSunshine

When in doubt, add chocolate and peanut butter. As if this addictive dessert couldn’t get any better…

Thanks for the shout out Emily!

Your buffalo chicken sweet potato skins look amazing! I’m obsessed with Frank’s red hot sauce – I think I make a meal with it at least once per week. I’m adding your recipe to my list of ones to try!!
