Honey Mustard Hummus Lentil Wrap -- A healthy vegetarian lentil wrap full of protein made with veggies, avocado and Sabra Honey Mustard Spread.

Honey Mustard Hummus Lentil Wrap Stacked on Plate

I received free samples of Sabra Spreads mentioned in this post. By posting this recipe I am entering a recipe contest sponsored by Sabra and am eligible to win prizes associated with the contest. I was not compensated for my time.

I'm talking about this new bean on the block, in the form of Sabra's spreads that I got a chance to test out through the Recipe Redux crew, including garlic herb, sea salt & cracked pepper, and the beez kneez honey mustard.

It's no Bermuda triangle that I put mustard on everything that I can't put peanut butter on. Pair it up with my favorite dippage material, and I have officially lost my cool.

What makes this lentil wrap delicious and healthy

    • cooked lentils
    • Sabra Honey Mustard Spread
    • black pepper
    • whole grain wrap
    • shredded carrot
    • red bell pepper
    • avocado
    • lettuce
    • hot sauce (optional)

How to make this Honey Mustard Hummus Lentil Wrap

In a small bowl, stir together ½ cup of cooked lentils with 2 tablespoons of Sabra Honey Mustard Spread, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Set aside. Layer lettuce, ¼ sliced avocado, ¼ cup shredded carrot, and ¼ cup chopped red bell pepper in a whole grain wrap.

Honey Mustard Hummus Lentil Wrap Overhead

Top with prepared lentils, and hot sauce if using, before rolling together and serving.

    Pro Tips:

    • Use canned lentils that have been rinsed and drained to make these super quick and easy.
    • Serve with extra honey mustard on the side for dipping.
    • Can wrap up with any of your favorite veggies, or use whatever you have on hand.

    FAQs

I can't find the honey mustard spread! What can I use instead?

You can mix equal parts of plain Sabra hummus with honey mustard for the same feel.

How long do these lentil wraps last?

I would suggest keeping the ingredients separate until you are ready to serve. The wraps can get soggy really quickly if stored for a prolonged time. To save time, you can prep the lentil mixture ahead of time, and keep refrigerated up to 4 days before serving.

Money-Saving Tips for these Lentil Wraps

Buy in bulk. Buying pre-cooked lentils in the can is more convenient, but it can be cheaper to buy dried lentils, and cooking ahead of time. Buying vegetables whole and chopping yourself, instead of buying pre-chopped is also more cost effective.
Shop sales. Look for what whole grain wraps are on sale to maximize savings.
