Happy Friday friends!
We survived thrived another week! I’m being particular optimistic because a.) it’s Friday, suckas. b.) it’s better than being negative. c.) Dr. Oz said I’d lose 5 pounds.
And because it’s Five Things Friday time!
In the spirit of keeping in good spirit, I wanted to share five things I’m grateful for at the moment. I try to take the first five minutes of my day, and write a list of ten things I’m grateful for and why. It sets the mood for the rest of the day, and at least starts it off on the right foot. Or the left foot, because lefties rule.
And yes, I write extremely small so I can fit more gratitude one one page, and so no one can decipher my secrets.
So let’s get to grateful…ing. Yeahh….gratefuling.
2. My job.
Even if it’s not what I want to do for the long-term, I truly enjoy getting to write, browse Pinterest, and make my own hours for a living. Oh, and a show of hands how many of you have received this in an email from your boss.
I. love. my. job.
Because my nieces are adorable, especially while wearing my clothes. They make me laugh and smile like kids so easily do. They call me Auntie Em and I get to make up crazy stories that they are convinced are factual. If anyone asks, I have had a fro-yo date with Cinderella, own the Batmobile, and can hold my breath underwater for like….10 minutes.
4. This moment.
In reply to “Let’s play a game.”
I honestly don’t know if I should be honored or terrified. Let it be known that I will not be riding tricycles, attending a circus, or sawing my left leg off anytime in the near future.
Because one day…ONE DAY it will stop effin snowing, and I will make amends with my venus razor. You gotta be optimistic people.
