Rootin’ tootin’ morning friends!
This has felt like the loooooongest week, which can probably be blamed on the fact that we finally had a break from the snowmageddon snowcalypse of 2015. Meaning the full work week of February. Once you’re spoiled with the work from home card, you play that thang like it’s your job! …Okay it is my job.
But today is Friday so that means some more alliterations and happenings for Five Things Friday!
1. Current Eats
I having being chugging down this salsa verde like it’s my….hobbie! Okay not really. But after seeing Alexis’ enchiladas, I could NOT stop thinking about them. Daydreams of corn tortillas. Doodling Mrs. Emily Enchiladas all over my notebooks. Thank god I finally went grocery shopping so I can finally be one of those online dating success stories.
2. Current Sips
Since I sacrificed my beloved java til Easter, I’ve been guzzling down cups of tea to avoid the caffeine-deprived shimmy shakes. I just bought this Moroccan Mint Green Tea and is gah-lorious! It’s like sipping a warm mint julep..minus the booze. On second thought…
3. Current Reads
I think the only thing I’m not reading is the fifth volume of the Encyclopedia. I just like reading. Reading’s my favorite. A chapter of each keeps my attention much more than a solid hour in one. Among the arsenal is
-Runner’s World: March Issue. Makes me really want to get into running again…just as soon as the weather warms up a teensy bit, and the paths are no longer an ice rink. The issue has great oatmeal variations though!
-Pride & Prejudice. My first time reading..and probably my last. I like reading the classics for the sake that they’re classics, but halfway through and I don’t think they’ve done anything more than ate dinner and danced and said Mr. Darcy. Give me the vid already.
-The Sound of One Hand Clapping. This has been my “backup” book for a solid year now, for times when I don’t have anything checked out or that I wanted to read. I am now just getting into it with 90% of the book done. Otherwise, it was just a pity read. I can’t NOT finish a book.
-Yes, Please. Besides Friends, Parks & Rec is the only sitcom-y show I watch. Amy Poehler is my hero. And after seeing Em’s review, it reminded me to get my hands on it. And it is just as great as I thought it would be. Good thing her & Tina are BFFS, because I’m having a hard time deciding who I love better.
-The Power. AKA my bible. It’s the second book from “The Secret”, which is all about the law of attraction, and staying positive. It’s a good reminder to keep a positive attitude and be grateful to attract more positive things in my life.
4. Current Love
It’s like Christmas! I ordered some goodies from Amazon of stuff that I needed since I had $10 left to use..and of course I had to add $25 more to get free shipping.
A phone case. Thank you for not dropping my precious before then.
PB-2 equivalent. Because it was cheaper and it’s good in smoothies.
Calcium, Magnesium & Zinc. Because I don’t do dairy or meats.
Vitamin D3. Because I’m sun deprived. BUT the Calcium had Vitamin D too. Thanks for the memo. I could have spent my $3 on something important like Lip Smackers Pink Lemonade chapstick.
Coconut Sugar. Because I’m a follower and foodie. Let’s see what the big deal is.
My beloved green tea.
And this bad boy.
Pretty much because I needed to reach the $35 threshold, and it’s amazing. I feel like it will work better than my usual mug for microwave english muffins and perfectly round eggs without making the inside of my micro look like a crime scene. And it’s BPA free! The little things make this girl happy.
5. Current Loathe
I just ask to be able to go on a walk without dressing for an Alaskan excursion. And to gain the feeling back in my nose, toes, fingers, ears, and eyelids. Now excuse me while I go get my iced decaf…
Hope on over to Clare’s and join the party!
Make it a great day!
Tell me one ( or five) things you’re loving!
