Sunday Funday! Are your ready for some football?!? Not sure if I’ll actually be able to watch the game seeing as I don’t have cable… What’s a girl to do??

Determination is my middle name when it comes to my jersey wearing, television screaming, football loving alter ego. If there’s a game there’s a way. So I must ask, Baltimore or San Fran? I’ll give you a hint at my pick…

And if you don’t get the reference I don’t believe you had a childhood.

***News Flash***
Sinfully Nutritious is in the process of moving! Yes, it’s a sin, but SN will be leaving the blogspot world to the land of WordPress. After getting used to the formatting of blogger you think I’d stick with it. But no, I’ve been having some issues with the program, and have heard great things about WordPress. But no need to fret! SN will be at your viewing pleasure right here until the new site is up and running. It will take a little work getting the hang of the new site for me, but am pleased with the results so far. The only thing that will be changing is the location, but all your favorite sarcastically delicious posts will be the same! I’ll keep you up to date as I go on too.

** Another Update**
Now I know I have some dedicated followers, and to you I express my thanks and appreciation! It is a great feeling to know people out there are reading and enjoying what I have to say and eat (which is what it really comes down to).

I am turning over a new leaf in the blogging world and sticking to a schedule. Like any good parent, creating a routine is the recipe for success, and this blog is my birth child. I am making it a pact to hold the same posting schedule every week so you can expect a post no matter what on the same day every week. You can expect to see a post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

I hope you stick with me through this transition to blogging my blogging pre-teen years. It’s growing up so fast! Since I will be posting one day a week, I’ll be sure to jam-pack the post with pretty pictures, a bit of humor, and of course a delicious recipe! Which reminds me….

Do you ever wake up saying to yourself..”I really wish I could have chocolate chip cookie dough for breakfast AND still be healthy.” This is pretty much my thought every morning. I mean sure, you could crack open a roll of cookie dough and tall glass of milk and belly up to a cookie buffet each AM, but I can’t assure you that you’ll be able to change out of those yoga pants after your through.

So how about my favorite breakfast canvas of Oatmeal! For those of you who aren’t sure about oatmeal, prepare to be saved!

Here are 2 ways to prepare a bowl full of chocolate chip dough oats. Hot or Cold? You decide! Either way I know you’ll enjoy.

Now i usually add some additional milk or water the next morning, but I wanted the oats to be extra thick and creamy like cookie dough so I left it out. I was amazed how good these were.  I apologize for no photos but they don’t look to un-similar to the hot oats. Just…cold.

Hot:
Stovetop Cookie Dough Oats
serves 1
1/2 c oats
1/2 c unsweetened soymilk
1/2 c water
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp brown sugar
pinch salt
1 T mini chocolate chips

Heat the milk, water, and salt on the stove over medium high heat in a small saucepan. Once it starts to boil, add oats and cook for 5-7 minutes. I cooked mine longer so they would thicken up, but this can also be done by adding less water at the beginning.

Once oats are cooked, remove from heat and add vanilla and brown sugar. Transfer to bowl.

Stir in 1/2 the chocolate chips and top with the remaining.

I loved the way the chocolate chips melted into the oats in this version. It reminded me of when you first take the cookies out of the oven, and take the first bite. Heaven.

So depending on the weather and your mood, you can have cookie dough for breakfast 2 ways.

Hope everyone enjoys the Superbowl and be safe!
