A Little Somethin’ Sunday #116

May 6, 2018 by Emily Cooper 1 Comment

Happy Sunday!

I don’t know about you, but I dig a chilly and rainy Sunday just as much as I love sunny and 75 Saturdays. There’s just something about a reason to cuddle up on the couch and give zero effs before getting back to the workweek.

So let’s chill out maxin’ with this week’s best of the rest for ALSS 1-1-6!

A little something Sunday

Music of the Moment:

“Came Here for Love” – Sigala, Ella Eyre

This song came on one of my Aaptiv runs, and I instantly fell in love with it. Definitely kept my feet moving and my head bobbing along the way!

Life Lately:

Squirrel with Avocado

While visiting my brother in Jersey City, we discovered an avocado-lovin’ squirrel on the steps. Guess I’m not the only one with a severe ‘cado obsession…

Nomad Pizza Princeton

Living this close to NYC, Jersey pizza is  big deal. I’m a hard sell with my aversion to melty cheese and all. Mr. Rob and I tried out Nomad Pizza here in Princeton, a neapolitan-style pizza joint. Brick oven crust makes SUCH a difference, and if these pies were $20 a pop, we would be here a lot more often.

Date night Dinner

Friday night means date night around these parts. Instead of the usual happy hour glass of Pinot, Mr. Rob cooked up a delicious dinner of salmon, roasted potatoes, and asian slaw. Let’s not forget the wine though. 🙂 He knows me too well.

Food:

Hangover Helper Ramen – Averie Cooks

Just in case you had a little too much cinco in your mayo. Ramen is here for you.

Loaded Sweet Potato Nacho Salad Bowls – Fit Mitten Kitchen

Or if you’re ready for more Mexicali eats (ahem, ME) then stick around for these bowls fulla nachos. YES.

Peach Cobbler Baked French Toast – Lemon Tree Dwelling

If your mouth doesn’t water the instant you see this, please schedule an appointment with your PCP immediately. Cuz mine is straight up waterfalling right now.

At Home Circuit Booty Workout – Eating Bird Food

Once my booty recovers from it’s first workout in 3 months (thanks Aaptiv) it may be ready for a killer circuit like this…until I can’t walk for a week.

That salmon dinner looks awesome!! Minnesota hasn’t had a rainy spring day yet, but I’m sure we will get our share!
