Five Things Friday: 4 Truths & a Lie.

Morning munchkins!

It’s a cold and dreary morning here, but at least New England is finally starting to show some signs of spring.

I decided to have a little fun with this week’s Five Things Friday Post, and test how good of a liar I am. Let me tell you, I think it will be a bit easier behind a computer screen where I don’t have to cover up my smirks of deceit.

Let’s see if you can find the phony in this edition of 4 Truths & a Lie!

1. I get to see Em-ski this weekend!

My better third of the Did You Know link-up and HLS roomie, Emily will be in my neck of the woods this weekend, and I can’t wait! I haven’t seen this girl since the Healthy Living Summit in 2013, so we are long overdue. Plus I get to help break her Boston virginity! 🙂

2. I’m going to Blog Brulee!

cropped-logo-final2I’ve been meaning to shout this from the rooftops ever since I found out a few weeks ago, but YES! I will be attending this year’s Blog Brulee so meet, eat, and take an obscene amount of food-related photos with some of my fellow & influential RD bloggers! September can’t come soon enough meow.

3. I started eating meat again.

It’s true. (or is it?!) After 9+ years of sans poultry, pork, or red meat, I took the plunge and entered the meat arena again. Why? Many reasons, but mostly because I wanted to. Bottom line. My body started to crave it again, I got bored eating beans and tuna all the time, and many digestive issues later, I bought a happy chicken. It’s a work in progress, but it is slowly making its way back into my diet.

4. I found a giant box of green tea for a dollar.

For serious. I can’t even buy a whole pack of gum for under a dollar. When I feasted my eyes of this box of glory beaming down from the top shelf, I had to have it. Sure the bags rip if you even blow on it too hard, and the contents resemble dustpan collections, but it fits the bill when I just want something warm to sip on.

5. I broke down and had coffee.

You guys, I was so close. So close! Seriously, Easter is what, a week away?! After a stressful week, no sleep, and ummm the smell of coffee fricken brewin’ I caved. Was I disappointed? Yes. Was it as glorious as I wanted it to be? Y-E-Darn Tootin’ S. I think I did get as much work done in a solid hour than I did the rest of the week. It’s amazing what a caffeine hiatus will do to your productivity…for now.

Make it a great day!

Which one do you think is a lie?

Tell me two truths and a lie!

  1. I love playing [2] Truths & A Lie as an icebreaker! :] Here are mine!
    01. I was the keyboardist + backup vocalist in a band.
    02. My favorite subject in high school was Biology.
    03. I hold multiple state powerlifting records.

Congrats on getting to go to Blog Brulee! I so wished that I could’ve, but I ended up not applying because my schedule next year is so frighteningly up-in-the-air right now, with little hope of much control over it in the forseeable future. I’ll have to live vicariously through everyone else’s posts! <3

Is your lie the meat one?? 😛

  2. I don’t think you caved on coffee so close to the finish line.

    My version:
    1. I spoke in front of about 100 people last week and I REALLY LIKED IT.
    2. I have social anxiety and was agonizingly, painfully shy as a child.
    3. If it doesn’t stop flippin’ snowing here I’m going to call my old boss in Florida and ask for a job.

I hope you’re prepared to play along with the commenters!
