Caramel Apple S’mores Recipe — Two of my favorite fall desserts in one! Perfect treat to have around a campfire.
Hey hey it’s Monday! How we all doin?
Did we all have a fun and safe Halloween? I got to carving with miss Hannah while watching The Great Pumpkin to the tune of some wine. Perfection.
While everyone was out trickin’ and treatin’ I got dressed to the nines for dinner & a movie.
That’s about as spooky as I get. But these socks are just awesome.
Sunday I had a 10k set on my running plan, but 30 mph wind and snow gave me other plans. Instead I watched all the amazing runners for the NYC marathon.
And the thoughts of a cup of hot cocoa afterwards made it all okay. I shared the easy recipe for it on my Instagram.
And the best news FINALLY arrived after waiting for months to share it with you. My recipe for Food & Nutrition magazine was featured in this month’s issue, and it was still unreal to see it in print.
Especially since it took up the entire page! I’m so grateful for the opportunity and am now currently craving my own recipe. That’s a good sign.
Hookay! I’ve been waiting to make this recipe for SO long now. Even though its only three days after Halloween, it seems like every one is all like
While I’m over here eating candy corn and watching Cujo. Oh and these bad boys.
Oh. My Gosh.
Back when everyone was coming out with their fall bucket lists, I was thinking of ways to combine some of them to make tackling the list seem more obtainable. Jumping in leaves while building a scarecrow. Going apple picking followed by a corn maze. And then..it happened.
Caramel apples + S’mores. No weird ingredients or special diet requirements. Just a heck of a lot of goodness in between two grahams.
- 1 sheet cinnamon graham crackers, broken in 4 pieces
- 1 marshmallow
- 1 tbsp caramel sauce
- 1 slice apple
- Heat caramel sauce in microwave safe dish for 10-15 seconds, or until warmed.
- Spread caramel on one piece of graham cracker. Top with apple slice.
- Roast marshmallow until browned.
- Top apple slice with marshmallow and other graham cracker.
I made this recipe for one s’more, but you get the idea for more. And trust me, THERE WILL BE MORE.
And just so you know I roasted my mallows over my stove, and burnt the ish out of a few just to snap a picture of it. You’re welcome.
But in a pinch, I’ve been know to microwave a mallow for 5 seconds as well.
Make it a great day!
Caramel or candy apple?
Do you say care-ah-mel or car-mel?
